Kalitta Air Exhibition Space
With the coming wave of retirements, the airline industry is competing harder than ever for new pilots. Kalitta needed a trade show presence that drew attention and spoke to their differentiators. With a limited budget and practically no professional photography available, it would be necessary to improvise.
An extensive search of license-free photography of the Kalitta fleet and of various sky shots yielded results. Shots of freighters at desired angles were combined with shots of interesting sky. A daytime cockpit photo at just the right angle was extensively retouched to become a night-time photo. A shot of the actual pilot wingpin was substituted for a somewhat dated logo. All were combined with simple, straightforward messaging that spoke to the benefits of a career at the company.
