Greyhound Booking Microsite
In 2011, Greyhound partnered with Peter Pan Bus Lines to serve routes to New York City from Philadelphia, Boston, D.C. and Baltimore with a new line of luxury buses. While the partnership allowed for improved service, there was no passenger awareness of the affiliation—this caused serious confusion when, for instance, a customer booked a fare on the Peter Pan site for a route that was served by a Greyhound bus.
The short-term strategy was to bridge the companies with a booking microsite launched with a strong marketing push. The microsite was built on a CMS that allowed the joint marketing team to quickly create promotions and edit pricing, and tied the brands together in a UI populated with new content and custom passenger photography.
